Professional development system

Professional development for community and technical college, school district, and community based organization providers is administered at state level. The Professional Development Coordinator and the State Director are advised about needs and strategies by the Kansas Adult Education Professional Development Council (KAEPDC). Professional development is also offered through the Kansas Adult Education Association.

STAR implementation

The Kansas programs participating in the STAR pilot for Kansas and Iowa were selected through a competitive application process. After the three Institutes delivered by national trainers, Kansas will select two to three instructors to deliver training to the remainder of the state.
